Gift of Life Australia is dedicating the Yom Ha'atzmaut function in Sydney to saving the lives of 4 Jewish leukaemia patients

Bone Marrow Donor Drive

Gift of Life Australia is dedicating the Yom Ha'atzmaut function in Sydney to saving the lives of 4 Jewish leukaemia patients in urgent need of a Stem Cell/blood/bone marrow transfusion, by holding a "Testing Station" at the function to find a DNA match for 2 year old Eve who lives in the USA, 3 year old Dan Dan and 6 year old Amit who are in Hospital in Israel right now. as well as 45 year old father of Jessica & Jason who live in Toronto and who wrote to all Jewish communities in the world via Gift of Life and Facebook to beg potential donors to join the Registry in order to find a DNA match to save their Father.

Completing the routine Red Cross forms and having a simple (2 spoonfuls) blood test is all it takes to register onto the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR).

Potential donors should be healthy and between 18 to 45 years old.

The ZYC Yom Ha'atzmaut function will be held on Tuesday 28th April 5.30-8.30pm @ the Randwick Racecourse... look for the Red T-shirted Gift of Life Australia volunteers who will hand out the information and consent forms.
